ARE THEY KIDDING?
There's a picture of a baby, on the cover, of the current issue of NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC. The caption reads, "This Baby will live to be 120."
Will you tell me who, in their right mind, would want to live 120 years? It's hard enough getting through the day without calling the doctor in my young 70's.
Of course, if I did live to be 120, just think of the extra thousands of dollars the doctors, hospitals, pharmaceuticals and insurance companies could make off of me.
Could that be why the labs are working so hard to extend our lives? After all, it's all about the money, isn't it?
ARE WE CRAZY?
Have you seen the results of the annual Visa survey on the cost for kids going to their high school prom? According to the findings, parents are spending, on average, $1,078 on prom night this year. That's 33% more than they spent last year.
Millions of human beings starving to death, every year, around the world and we're spending a thousand dollars on a teenage dance and crying about how hard it is to make a living.
