"I have a blanket of violet colored shooting stars, yellow parsley and wild onions in my back yard. In the front I will have bouncing betties. Light purple multiple blooms that do bounce in the wind."
Starting a new blog that you may want to check out from time to time..or maybe not. It's up to you!

TUNA TIME
Just got my tuna salad recipe out. It's going to be a beautiful day with a sunny sky and highs in the low 70's. As soon as those first spring days arrive, the first thing I think of is tuna.Tuesday, May 20, 2014
SPRING HAS SPRUNG
We'll see a lot more sun this week than we have in months. This is just what the doctor ordered. A stretch of dry weather to dry up the flooded areas and the fields. Maybe we can get the farmers back to spring planting!
I wish Donnie had been here this week.

A LOUSY TIME TO VISIT WISCONSIN
Looks like it will be cold and wet while Donnie is here. That will teach him not to even think about coming north until July or August!

FEELS LIKE SPRING
I went to Walgreen's, this morning, and what a delightful walk! This is the first day that we don't have those ice cold, gusty winds. Temperatures are comfortable and we're finally seeing some green on the trees. We might just have a summer after all!!

HIGH WATER AT RIVERSIDE PARK
I went to the park this morning. In the foreground you can see the tiny bit of the dock still above water. The rest is below the waves.
The river is running mighty full and fast. I wouldn't want to be out on it in a boat right now.

I COMPLAIN ABOUT THE WEATHER AND THEN REALIZE THAT IT COULD BE WORSE
Duane just advised me that the Northern and Southern Black Hills are expecting 6 inches of snow or more tonight through tomorrow morning. Blowing snow could reduce visibilities. It wouldn't be the Black Hills without a spring snow storm.

TWEET US: What are you looking forward to most about spring and summer in #Wisconsin?

I'd just like to SEE a little spring and summer. So far, all I've seen is wet, cold, clouds and wind and I'm getting a little pissed.
The sirens will sound at 1:45 this afternoon.
This is a MOCK TORNADO WARNING. It's a drill to make sure we're ready if the real thing comes along. I think we're safe in saying the snow is done for the season. Now the tornado months begin.

I know we need April showers but there's such a thing as too much
The forecast shows a 70% chance for rain today, 100% chance tonight and 80 % chance for tomorrow. Maybe that will start to green things up.
We noticed a lot of green lawns, on yesterdays trip, but there's not even a hint of green on the trees.

BATTER UP!
We can't play baseball until we get the snow off the field.
And yes EVERYONE is helping clear Target Field. @kare11 pic.twitter.com/7qMqh8MYH3

MID-APRIL COLD
This isn't the first time the 15th of April has felt more like winter than spring. On April 15, 1949 Caledonia and Gays Mills both reported 6 inches of new snow.
