I was just reading that there are now more than 100,000 on the waiting list for a new kidney.
Starting a new blog that you may want to check out from time to time..or maybe not. It's up to you!

YOU WIN SOME...YOU LOSE SOME
I thought I was just about done with the doctors until fall but one of the very last tests they did was not such a positive finish.
They found red cells in my urine which is not such a good thing. I have to make appointments, today, for a bladder scope and a kidney ultrasound.
Wish me luck!

THE KIDNEY DISEASE NUMBERS KEEP GROWING
A new report from Australia, today, says the number of "end stage kidney disease" patients, which is when the disease progresses to the point where you need dialysis or transplant, will increase 80% by 2020.

HEALTH
I saw in the Lubbock paper, today, that says more than a million Texans will have chronic chronic kidney disease by 2020 which will cost the state, at least, $51 billion a year.

HEALTH
I HAVE LOTS OF COMPANY
According to the National Kidney foundation, 26 million adults in the U.S.A. have Chronic Kidney Disease.
I was hoping for a disease that would be a bit more exclusive but, I guess, you have to take what you can get.

I was reading another article about kidney disease, this afternoon, and I'm sure glad I did.
It mentioned two things that can be very stressful on failing kidneys. One is having a cold. I'll do my best not to catch one this winter. The other thing to avoid is overdoing and getting stressed out. Now, that's one I know I can avoid. I stopped overdoing when I retired and I've not had a single moment of desire to take it up again.

There's an interesting health story in the news today.
The National Institutes of Heath say there are, probably, around 26 million people in the U.S. that have chronic kidney disease and most of them don't know it. Sadly, by the time they do find out it will be too late. Finding it out early won't stop it but, at least, you can slow it down if you stick to your diet and do as your told.

It's been a couple of years since I've had a taste of chocolate.
Not even a small nibble. Kidney disease and chocolates don't mix and I think giving up chocolate is a lot more difficult than giving up smoking. They've got a patch to help you give up smoking. There should be one for chocolate too.

AUNT WILDA HAS ALL THE NEWS!
Another beautiful day but I didn't get outdoors. I am bothered by my balance again so I decided I had better stay where I can hold on to things. It's much better now.
Called brother Bob and he was ready to go to the hospital so now I wonder what he found out.
I wrote to Linda for her birthday. No rain must be tough when things will not grow. The grass on my lawn is really growing since we had six inches of rain in one day.
Bob and Lynne are coming this week. Hope the weather is nice so we can sit on the porch. I like to sit there when I eat if it is warm.
I had a letter from Cousin Mary. Frank was diagnosed with kidney cancer. Mary had the same surgery five years ago and she is fine now.
Trig called last week. He has bought another store.
