A NOTE FROM LYNNE
"Since back I haven't had any time to go through photos as still going through all brochures, washing clothes etc.
We spent the day in Viroqua yesterday(Thursday), spent hours with Mom at home, going through all the rooms. She felt really well the entire time. Sandy was with us too.
I will be getting to photos soon as send some to you. We have probably 3,000 from all cameras used. My video will take time to edit also. Busy days."

THEY TELL ME THIS IS A FACT.....
Your hearing is the last sense to go when you die. Sight is the first to go. Then it's taste, smell and touch.
My question is, how do they know that? Seems to me I'll have to die before I'll know, for sure if that's correct and, if it is, I doubt I'll be telling anybody.

It's still sprinkling and the wind is vicious. Miserable morning.
I realized how miserable after seeing this report from the National Weather Service.

THIS IS NOT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE!
Just saw an article that reports a United Flight from London to San Francisco ran out of toilet paper and they had to rely on cocktail napkins. That's one flight I'm glad I missed.
STICKY WEATHER AND STORMS AHEAD
The last couple of days have been so nice but we're in for a stormy stretch from tonight through Tuesday.
Thunderstorms will roll through with heavy rain and, possibly, damaging winds and flooding. Afternoon heat indices of 90 to 95 can be expected.
It was a cold spring but the heat is on now!
THE PONY'S ARE LOOKIN' GOOD AGAIN!
Rita had a dentist appointment this morning so I got a ride to the grocery store when she was done.
She says the Ferrier arrived at the farm early this morning and took care of the pony's hoofs. All is well and they're in good health. It sure is nice to see them back in the pasture again.
GARY IS ALWAYS GOOD FOR A JOKE
My wife found out that our dog (a Schnauzer) could hardly hear, so she took it to the veterinarian.
The vet found that the problem was hair in the dog's ears. He cleaned both ears, and the dog could then hear fine.
The vet then proceeded to tell Andrea that, if she wanted to keep this from recurring, she should go to the store and get some "Nair" hair remover and rub it in the dog's ears once a month.
Andrea went to the store and bought some "Nair" hair remover.
At the register, the pharmacist told her, "If you're going to use this under your arms, don't use deodorant for a few days."
Andrea said, "I'm not using it under my arms."
The pharmacist said, "If you're using it on your legs, don't use body lotion for a couple of days."
Andrea replied, "I'm not using it on my legs either. If you must know, I'm using it on my Schnauzer."
The pharmacist said, "Well, stay off your bicycle for about a week."

RITA AND ROGER ARE BACK ON LINE
RITA REPORTS:
We have been off line since last Thursday and just got our computer back. We have not yet found any emails from June 13 – 20 on it, but our carrier etc. have all been switched. If you sent anything we should know about, please resend.
HOW FAST IS 33.86 PETAFLOPS?
I see the Chinese now have the worlds fastest supercomputer that does 33.86 petaflops per second or, to put it another way, that's 33,860 trillion calculations per second. I think that's even faster than a speeding bullet.
ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL DAY IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Lot's of sun and a high near 75 should make this a picture perfect day. The rest of the week will be "iffy" so this is the day for outdoor plans.
Tomorrow through Sunday it's a 50% chance for thunderstorms each day.
The Ferrier will be at Rita and Roger's today to clean up the pony's hoofs. They sure picked the right day to get that job done.

LYNNE REPORTS ON THEIR ALASKA TRIP
Finally taking some time to write you about our fantastic vacation to Alaska and Vancouver. Daniel is an expert at planning everything down to the last detail so we had no glitches anywhere we went. Nora, our good friend, came to our home June 5 and we picked up Sandy and proceeded to Derrick and Jennifer's to see the addition and remodeling that is being done on their home. It will be so nice and definitely large. We all went out to eat and then stayed overnight with Daniel and Jon.
A limo picked the six of us up at Daniel and Jon's at 4:30 a.m. June 6. Our flight from O'Hare to Anchorage was smooth and on time. The sight of the snow-covered mountains was a sight to behold. We've seen pictures and movies but they don't do justice. The weather was so perfect with sun and blue skies. The temperature was always high 60's to 70's. How fortunate we were as all of us were taking pictures. There were 2 iPhones, 2 cameras, and my camcorder so we ended up with a couple thousand photos to go through. I will be working on those and my movies for quite awhile. We loved the mountains, train ride to Seward, tram ride, glaciers and waterfalls from the ship. The actual cruise aboard Royal Caribbean Radiance Of The Seas was 7 days with stops and tours. Of course, there was food everywhere we went, especially on the ship. Lots of walking and entertainment too. Just a great trip.
Now back to reality (washing clothes, cooking, going through brochures, souvenirs, and most of all, the photos and movies.

ANOTHER NICE DAY IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Today's forecast looks great: A sunny sky with a high of 71. We're finally getting some days without rain.
There could be some isolated thunderstorms, however, in southeast Minnesota, northeast Iowa and far southwest Wisconsin. Our next best chance for thunderstorms in La Crosse will be Friday.

SNAKES EVERYWHERE
Terrel got rid of the snakes that infested Rita and Rogers shed last week. At first they thought it was rattlers but, it turned out, they weren't
It was a rattler that bit a girl in the Badlands of South Dakota over the weekend, however, after she and her mother wandered off the established trail. She's going to be OK after getting a shot of the anti-venom but it's a reminder that they're out there. Best to keep your eyes open and stay on the trail.

OH! WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAD'S DAY!!
After some thick morning fog, the sun is going to come out and shine down on a perfect day for dad. The high will be right in my comfort zone at 80 degrees.
I'm going to spend the afternoon on the farm and I've got my cowboy hat hanging by the front door so I don't forget to take it. My head can't take any more sunburn.
A COUPLE MORE PIX FROM FRIDAY
While Terrel and Roger were getting the pony's on Friday, Rita and I hit the greenhouse and then went home and planted.
