I DON'T KNOW WHICH IS WORSE
It has finally warmed up and now the filthy slush and dirty puddles have replaced the bitter cold and pristine ice. Summer can't come fast enough.
HOW COULD YOU SAY NO TO A FACE LIKE THIS?

HAPPY HOT TODDY DAY
I never met a Toddy I didn't like!
I ran across an interesting story, this morning, that says the most popular pet name for 2013, according to the Veterinary Pet Insurance Company, was BELLA for BOTH cats and dogs. And, Bella showed up as the 5th most favorite name for human girls last year.
I wanted to pass this along in case you're planning on a new member of the family. You might want to pick something other than Bella. We seem to have enough Bella's already!
CUCKOO DANCING WEEK STARTS TODAY!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY
This week celebrates, of course, the Laurel and Hardy theme song.
It's fun to celebrate the dance and song and Laurel and Hardy but we, probably, should celebrate the bird too.
The Cuckoo is the bird that lays its eggs in the nests of other birds and lets those other birds raise their kids. Cuckoo's spend their summers in Europe and Asia and their winters in Africa. Nothing Cuckoo about that!
AND THERE ARE MORE CUCKOO FACTS
YOU SHOULD BE AWARE OF
YOU SHOULD BE AWARE OF
It turns out that Donnie is a bit of a "cuckoo authority".
"Worth pointing out that we have a Cuckoo here in the USA too. In fact, in our back yard! The Roadrunner is a member of the cuckoo family. So, too, is the yellow-billed cuckoo. It's a local bird but I've seen only one pair in the eight years here."
(I, sometimes, wonder if I, myself, might be a member of the cuckoo family.)

Here she is with daughter, Wynona, at their farewell concert.
I sure do love listening to these ladies sing!
THE WEATHER LOOKS HALFWAY DECENT FOR THE WEEKEND
Some sun this afternoon should bump the temperature up to 30 and tomorrow we could see a high not far from 40. That just sounds soooo good!
