"We have received a report of a mountain lion near Old Red Ranch Road. The mountain lion reportedly attacked a horse on Monday, October 8, that ultimately did not survive.
As we understand it, the mountain lion attack has not been confirmed by Texas Parks and Wildlife or similar authority, but others in the area have reported possible mountain lion signs/activity such as low cat-like growling in backyards, and birds being killed and pulled through fencing.
It is important to not panic and to remember we share the land with wildlife."
