The dumbest sentence I've seen all day comes from the Washington Post. It says, "People who eat seven or more portions of fresh fruits and vegetables each day may reduce their risk of dying by as much as 42 percent over people who consume less than one portion, according to a new study by British researchers who tracked the eating habits of more than 65,000 people for 12 years."
First of all, it's the longest sentence I've read in a very long time. Maybe the longest sentence I've ever read.
Second, unless they've changed the rules, the risk of dying is 100% whether you eat fruits and vegetables or horse manure.
Third, tell me how many people you've known, in your life, who are now, or have in the past, eaten seven or more portions of fresh fruits and vegetables every day.
Fourth, are there, actually, companies who pay people to do these studies and write this crap?
Perhaps the money would be better spent getting food to more than half of the people, living on this earth, who have nothing to eat at all.
