THE MORNING IS A WASH OUT

I was going to make a run to Festival this morning but I see a big blob of rain about to cross the river from the west.  I'll do Festival another day.

I'd rather have the rain than the light snow and freezing fog they're getting in Rapid city this morning.

No snow here.  Our problem is going to be WIND and lots of it!  This is the latest advisory from the National weather service.

EXPECT WIND GUSTS OF 30 TO 40 MPH THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING.

THE WINDS THIS AFTERNOON WILL BE FROM THE SOUTH MAKING TRAVEL DIFFICULT AT TIMES ON EAST TO WEST ROADS.

LOOK FOR THE WINDS TO TURN TO THE WEST THIS EVENING AS A STRONG COLD FRONT PASSES ON NORTH TO SOUTH ROADS.

THE STRONGEST GUSTS ARE EXPECTED OVER RIDGE TOPS AND OPEN AREAS. IN ADDITION, ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS MOVING THROUGH THIS EVENING COULD PRODUCE WIND GUSTS FROM 45 TO 60 MPH.
