TWO MORE WARM DAYS
After 2 consecutive days of record and near-record warm temperatures last week, another round of unseasonable warmth for the Upper Midwest is expected Monday and Tuesday. The combination of a lack of snow cover, increasing southwesterly winds, and abundant sunshine will drive temperatures to between 45 and 50 degrees on Monday, and to the mid 40s to low 50s on Tuesday. These forecasted highs are 20 to 25 degrees above normal for early to mid January. A cold front is expected to cross the region Wednesday, ending our recent warm spell and bringing temperatures to more seasonable levels on Thursday.
