WAS THIS THE LAST NEW YEAR?

A while back, Donnie mentioned that he'd like to be in Mexico for the "end of the world" which, according to the alarmists, is scheduled for next December 21st.  That's the day the Mayan "Long Count" calendar comes to an end.

The Mayans didn't actually say the world was coming to an end...that's a recent invention to make a better story.  True or not, it's making the Mexican Tourist folks happy.  The stories have generated so much interest that they're expecting more than 50 million tourists will visit the five states, that made up the Mayan empire, over the course of this year.

With that many folks, if Donnie doesn't get there, he won't be missed!
