DUANE IS BLOOMING

"I have a blanket of violet colored shooting stars, yellow parsley and wild onions in my back yard.  In the front I will have bouncing betties.  Light purple multiple blooms that do bounce in the wind."

TULIP TIME

Guess what's blooming in front of the Netherlands Embassy in the USA!

Where did this "MAY DAY" stuff get started?

Again, we go back to the Romans as they celebrated the FESTIVAL OF FLORA, who was the Roman goddess of flowers, which are in damn short supply in Wisconsin this year.  Alas, we're too wet and too cold.

The life of a tulip.

While we're on the subject of roses, this is one of Rita's roses from 2011.  I'm sure we'll see a similar display this summer.

RE: Those flowers in Rita's garden. She said, "It's the mum you gave me many years ago in a tiny pot."

I don't remember that at all. Of course, I also don't remember what I had for lunch.
Look at the beautiful flowers growing in Rita's garden. I don't know what they are but the sure are pretty!

JUST LOOK AT RITA AND ROGERS COLORFUL MAILBOX

Roger said, "Summers blossoms on the rise by the driveway."  Those kids really know how to keep the place looking like a showcase all summer long and, just think, how it will look next year when Rita is retired.  They'll both be able to spend all their time on the yard.

I took a walk down to Riverside Park this morning.

It's been a while since I've been down there and LHI insurance has been busy.  They've added another four story office building and a new three story parking ramp.  In the middle of all of this will be the new Community Theater.

The park is looking just beautiful this summer and I've never seen the flowers looking so good.

THE OLD GIRL OUTDID HERSELF THIS YEAR

Just look at this rose from Rita's garden.  It's a work of art!
And, I love the bench and pump surrounded by all the green.

Their lawn deserves the Martha Stewart award.

AUGUST FLOWERS

I spotted these flowers on my morning walk and, I thought, if this doesn't look like August I don't know what does.
