IT'S RELATIVES DAY AND I'VE GOT 'EM COMING OUT OF THE WOODWORK

A SUMMER PAST

I WONDER IF AUNT WILDA'S EARS WERE RINGING?

We decided we have to figure out a time when we can grab Uncle Bob and take a trip up to Viroqua to see Aunt Wilda this summer.  Of course, that's not easy because she dosen't stay home long enough so we can catch her!

I don't expect to make 95 but, if I do, I hope I can still move around as good as she can.  I'm 23 years younger than she is and I have a hard time moving from the bedroom to the kitchen when I first get up in the morning.

On the other hand, once I get moving, I do pretty well.  I walked 2 1/2 miles on Labor Day.  I know younger folks who have had enough after walking 2 1/2 blocks!

ANOTHER FAMILY MEMBER AT THE HOSPITAL TODAY

Uncle Bob went in after having trouble breathing.  He thought he should have it check out.  He was, apparently OK.

They gave him a voucher and he got to go back home in a cab!  He's riding in style these days.

UNCLE BOB CALLED

He's doing pretty good but still having trouble with his eyes.  He goes back to the doctor later this week.

ANOTHER FAMILY PHOTO FROM THE PAST

Aunt Wilda called around noon today.

She had tried to call Uncle Bob to see how his surgery went but there was no answer.

She had been sleeping.  She's been so tired, lately, and has been sleeping a lot.  She's also having trouble with her eyes so she can't read as much as before and, I know, she doesn't like that.

He's having his eye surgery today.

UNCLE BOB IS SCHEDULED FOR EYE SURGERY FRIDAY

He called, this morning, and said he saw the doctor yesterday and they decided on surgery but, unfortunately, he had no idea what kind of surgery it will be.  He's hoping he'll be able to see better.

He sounded great.

Aunt Wilda called this afternoon.  She had her carpet, in the bedroom, shampooed and it's taking longer to dry than she thought it would.  That's where her computer is so she's out of touch until the carpet is completely dried.

She talked to Uncle Bob.  He said he was walking out the door and fell down.  Fortunately, he wasn't hurt.

TALKED TO UNCLE BOB THIS MORNING

He sure was sounding good but he's having trouble with his phone.  He tries to answer but it keeps on ringing so, if you call and he doesn't answer right away...HANG ON!

AUNT WILDA HAS ALL THE NEWS!

Another beautiful day but I didn't get outdoors.  I am bothered by my balance again so I decided I had better stay where I can hold on to things.  It's much better now.

Called brother Bob and he was ready to go to the hospital so now I wonder what he found out.

I wrote to Linda for her birthday.  No rain must be tough when things will not grow.  The grass on my lawn is really growing since we had six inches of rain in one day.

Bob and Lynne are coming this week.  Hope the weather is nice so we can sit on the porch.  I like to sit there when I eat if it is warm.

I had a letter from Cousin Mary.  Frank was diagnosed with kidney cancer.  Mary had the same surgery five years ago and she is fine now.

Trig called last week.  He has bought another store.

I CALLED UNCLE BOB TO WISH HIM HAPPY BIRTHDAY

He sounded good but he's ailing.  He had terrible back pain on Saturday so he went into emergency.  He has to go back in this afternoon and they're going to do an ultrasound That doesn't sound like much of a birthday party to me.

Eric and Bert were here this weekend to help him celebrate this birthday.  They came late Saturday and went back home yesterday.
