There was a feature story in the LA CROSSE TRIBUNE about a day trip to Lake Wazee which is Wisconsin's deepest inland lake.  It's located near Black River Falls and has a really interesting history.  Looks like it would be a fun outing.

I had never heard of the lake before.  I like to learn something new every day.  This should qualify.  Now, I'd like to find out how they came up with the name.
