CRACKED BONES...BROKEN BONES....WHAT NEXT??

THIS COMES FROM BERT
"On Thursday at school Jayden slipped while doing a cartwheel and broke her left wrist again. She broke one bone and shattered another.

Monday they make a decission if she should have surgery and put pins in. She is in alot of pain and had to miss her school field trips to Old World Wisconsin. She could use some cheering up.

If you want to send a card....send it to our home address she will get it. We are all praying for a relief of pain right now."

AUTUMN LEAVES WITH BERRIES

DONNIE AND LINDA REPORT A NEW VISITOR IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD

"We have received a report of a mountain lion near Old Red Ranch Road. The mountain lion reportedly attacked a horse on Monday, October 8, that ultimately did not survive.

As we understand it, the mountain lion attack has not been confirmed by Texas Parks and Wildlife or similar authority, but others in the area have reported possible mountain lion signs/activity such as low cat-like growling in backyards, and birds being killed and pulled through fencing.

It is important to not panic and to remember we share the land with wildlife."

THIS IS THE FUNNIEST THING I'VE SEEN SINCE I LOOKED AT MY FACE IN THE MIRROR AFTER I RAN INTO A TREE

NO CAR.  I JUST RAN INTO A TREE.

AUNT WILDA IN THE HOSPITAL

REPORT FROM RITA
"Arrived home late last night and had a message from Cousin Bob Blair.

Wilda is in Vernon Memorial Hospital with a cracked rib. She thought it was her heart but it wasn't. She also has pneumonia, which concerns the doctors.

Bob, Lynne and Daniel were all here yesterday. She doesn't want any visitors or calls. Hopefully she will be discharged Monday, either to her home or the nursing home for a few days."

WHAT DO THE STARS KNOW?

My horoscope says my people are all ready for my signal and things get more interesting when it all goes down.

I don't have any people.  "Things" haven't gotten more interesting in years.  I don't think today will break the pattern.

I think I'll go back to tarot cards.

WARMER TODAY

The high yesterday was 53.  With more sun, it will be closer to 60 today.  Sunny and warmer tomorrow.  Guess I'd better plan on spending some time outdoors.  There won't be many more weekends like this for a long time.

IT'S AGAINST THE LAW

ATTENTION HUSBANDS:
If you plan on visiting Lebanon, Virginia, please be advised that there is actually a law on the books that makes it illegal to throw your wife out of bed.

HOW MANY TICKETS DO YOU WANT?

It's been a long time since the Rolling Stones played a concert but they've got 4 scheduled.  2 later this month in England and the other 2 in Newark in December.

The scalpers are already offering tickets for sale. London tickets listed on eBay for $3,702.52  for standing room.    Scalpers asking price for the Newark show, these are floor seats: $49,999.00.

I DIDN'T KNOW THE TALLEST MAN IN THE USA LIVED JUST 50 MILES AWAY

Igor Vovkovinskiy, of Rochester, is 7' 8" tall, 30 years old and wears a size 24 shoe.  He got 3 custom made pairs from Reebok yesterday.  You won't find shoes that size at your corner shoe store!

WHAT'S WINTER WITHOUT A LOT OF SNOW?

If the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is right we'll find out this winter.  They say we'll have below average snowfall.  That will make it easier on the snow blowers but we really need the snow to offset the drought.

THOSE WERE THE GOOD OLD DAYS

HIGH SCHOOL KID BUILDS HIS OWN HOME

This will take about 15 minutes of your time but it's well worth it and you're going to love this kid.  What he's done is amazing.

HALLOWEEN HISTORY

Leave it to P. ALLEN to come up with a little HALLOWEEN HISTORY

ZIPPY TRAIN

Good luck to AMTRAK as they begin their test runs at 110 MPH on a small section of track between CHICAGO and ST. LOUIS.  That's not up to bullet train speed but it's 30 MILES FASTER than the normal Amtrak speed.

BETTER WEATHER AHEAD

More showers and a high of 50 today but, would you believe, by Sunday we'll have sunny skies and highs close to 70!  I can still leave the parka in the back of the closet.

TOO BAD THEY'RE NOT INVESTING IN THE USA

INTERNATIONAL PAPER, a U.S. company with headquarters in Memphis, is investing $1.2 BILLION to modernize plants in Russia.  We've come a long way from the "Cold War", haven't we?

On the other hand, Thank You AIRBUS, with headquarters in Toulouse, France, for planning your first U.S. assembly plant in MOBILE, ALABAMA which will create more than 4,000 jobs.
