THANK YOU GUNDERSON CLINIC!

With the move into the new building, Gunderson Clinic was forced to change their billing policy at Urgent Care.  Because Urgent Care and Emergency Care were combined into the same room, insurance rules required that people using Urgent Care would now be required to PAY FOR EMERGENCY CARE even though that was not what they were getting.

 

Obviously, the clinic was hearing loud and clear from the patients and they responded.  They are changing back to separate rooms for urgent and emergency care which will mean the billing will change back to what it was before also.

 

It's a shame that we live in a country where the health care we get is determined by the insurance companies and politicians rather than medical professionals but, in this case, the medical professionals had enough compassion for their patients to do the right thing.
