Sounds like commuters on the East Coast have finally figured out what commuters in Europe and Asia have known for a long time.  The way to go is....not car....not plane but TRAIN!  AMTRAK trains are FULL, these days, between New York, Boston and Washington.  Read more in this article from the New York Times.
