Here's a story that will remind you of just how much we've given up to have those snazzy big-box, ugly, chain stores run by people a thousand miles away and filled with junk made in China with a hot, hideous parking lot out front.  The CARMEL DRUG STORE in Carmel By the Sea, California has been in business for over 100 years.  It's downtown, where it belongs, and it's run by a local couple who know their customers on a first name basis.
