DONNIE DOES THE MATH

"A "true desert" gets less than 16" of rain per year. The Sahara gets 8". The Atacama in Chile gets less than one-half inch. (The Sahara gets some 20 times more rain than the Atacama.)

Here in Drippin' Springs, we have had one-tenth inch in seven weeks. At that rate, it would take us 70 weeks, more than a year, to get one inch. Right now, the Sahara is getting 10 times more rain than Dripping Springs. "
