DID YOU HAVE YOUR WAFFLE FOR BREAKFAST?

This is the day to celebrate Cornelius Swartwout, the man who invented the waffle iron.

Cornelius got the patent for the waffle iron on this date in 1869 and it caught my attention because it was designed for the old wood burning cook stove like grandma had in the kitchen.  Click here to see pictures of the actual iron.
