Were you going to say Hawaii? No way, Jose! In fact, the name for Pineapple in Hawaiian is HALAKAHIKI which means "foreign fruit".
The pineapple is actually indigenous to South America, spacifically, an area between Brazil and Paraguay.
The pineapple is called "pineapple" because it resembles a pine cone but I like halakahiki better.
