Here's a tip you might want to pass along. The tax on items purchased, in Norway, is about 20% of the purchase. It works a bit different there than it does in the USA. In Norway the tax is INCLUDED in the purchase price. It's not "price plus tax" like it is here.
The good news is that, if you're buying something to take out of the country when you go home, you can get a refund on the tax you paid. There are some stipulations and you'll need a special form to fill out but ask the clerk about it and they should be able to help.
