WILLARD PREPARES FOR THE COLD FRONT
"At 7:15 the winds started shifting to the north.  I'll have to close the bedroom window tonight."


This latest round of winter dropped 13 inches of snow on Owatonna.

THE LATEST BAD NEWS FROM THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE
SIGNIFICANT ACCUMULATIONS OF SNOW CONTINUE TO BE REPORTED ACROSS PORTIONS OF SE MN & NE IA.WITH OVER 15 INCHES ALREADY IN DODGE CENTER.

FARTHER EAST REPORTS OF SLUSH DUE TO SNOW & SLEET HAVE OCCURRED NEAR HOLMEN WI AND NORTH OF DECORAH IA.

THE WET HEAVY SNOW HAS KNOCKED OUT THE POWER ACROSS PARTS OF DODGE COUNTY. ROADS ARE COMPLETELY SNOW COVERED OR HAVE A DEEP LAYER OF SLUSH WHERE THE SNOW AMOUNTS ARE NOT AS HEAVY.

TRAVEL IS NOT ADVISED ACROSS MUCH OF SE MN ACCORDING TO THE MN DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION

A BAND OF SNOW.HEAVY AT TIMES.PERSISTS MAINLY WEST OF A LINE FROM OELWEIN IA TO WINONA MN & MONDOVI WI. EAST OF THIS AREA.EITHER A MIXTURE OF RAIN.SLEET & SNOW OR ALL RAIN WAS FALLING.
