EVEN THE PHEASANTS ARE SUFFERING FROM THE HEAT
Planning a pheasant hunting trip to South Dakota? You might be interested in knowing that hunters killed 1.5 million pheasants during the last hunting season. That's the lowest number in 10 years. The South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks department says the hot, dry summers are taking their toll on the birds.

I'd say it's the hunters who are taking a toll on the birds. Let's not blame Mother Nature.
