VIKINGS
Our ancestors were just plain disgusting. Here is a clip from the new Viking series on the History Channel. This washing ceremony before going into battle is a new one on me.

I saw just a few minutes of this, and though I know very little about the real Vikings, this dramatization struck me as thoroughly dumb, badly acted, badly costumed, and simply a whole lot of Hollywood nonsense. Even the History Channel is corrupted by rank commercialism.
