This is something I've never even seen or heard of before. This Woman lives in a Hummingbird fly zone. As they migrated, about 20 of them were in her yard. She took the little red dish, filled it with sugar water and this is the result.

Our hummingbirds, too, are pretty fearless. They will hover right in front of me, within reach. And wear a read hat, and they will try to drink out of it--they love red. Today I spotted one hovering over a lizard, flitting everywhere the lizard ran, and hovering right over it--probably considered it a threat to a nest.
