One of my favorite country stars, MICKEY GILLEY celebrates his 77th birthday today.
I was just thinking, when you watch Mickey play the piano, you can sure tell that he and Jerry Lee Lewis as cousins.

COLD AND WET
Global temperatures are warmer now than they have been in the last 4,000 years......if you don't count La Crosse.
Every day I keep thinking it will get more "spring like" but, so far, I haven't seen any indication of that. The frustrating thing about it is that we had a very mild winter...until it was time to "think spring"....NOW we get what we should have had in December.
Go figure.

LOUSY WEATHER AHEAD
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE REPORT:
THERE COULD BE A BRIEF PERIOD OF SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN LATE TONIGHT.
LIGHT ICING COULD RESULT ON UNTREATED ROADS...SIDEWALKS...
AND ELEVATED SURFACES.
A WINTRY MIX COULD CONTINUE SATURDAY MORNING NORTH OF THE I-94 CORRIDOR WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR LIGHT ICING.
MOST AREAS CAN EXPECT RAIN ON SATURDAY INTO SATURDAY EVENING. THIS RAIN, COUPLED WITH A MELTING SNOW PACK, COULD RESULT IN LOCALIZED FLOODING AS WELL AS ICE JAMS.

Sorry to hear Onalaska got beat by Pulaski and only by 4 points in overtime this afternoon at the Boys State Basketball Championship. Those close ones are hard to swallow.
