I'LL BET YOU DIDN'T KNOW....

When coffee was first introduced into Europe it wasn't known as "coffee". It was called Arabian Wine!

DONNIE SENT A GOOD THOUGHT

"If only there were evil people somewhere insidiously committing evil deeds and it were necessary only to separate them from the rest of us and destroy them. But, the line dividing good and evil cuts through the heart of every human being,  and, who is willing to destroy a piece of his own heart?"
Alexander Solzhenitsyn, novelist, Nobel laureate (1918-2008)

NOT SO DRIPPY IN DRIPPING SPRINGS

Willard said, "Thunder, lightning and heavy rain came through about 4:45." Unfortunately, radar doesn't show any rain clouds over Dripping Springs.

LOVE THOSE SILLY OLD PEOPLE

You've probably already seen the most popular video clip on the web these days. The couple in the clip kind of remind me of Rita and Roger.

I think these two have a touch of Solberg blood in them.

IT SURE LOOKED LIKE FALL TODAY

A light, gentle rain fell most of the afternoon under a gloomy grey sky. Great day for watching a movie or taking a nap or watching the Packers defeat the Panthers 30 to 23. They say it will be sunny and warmer tomorrow. I hope they're right!

SAD STATE OF AFFAIRS

The Los Angeles Times is reporting that, for the first time, there are more deaths in the U.S.A. from prescription drugs than there are from traffic accidents. This ain't good, kids.

THEY'RE BACK!

Rita called, yesterday to tell me they were back in town. Big surprise to me. I didn't know they were OUT of town!

If this isn't a SENIOR CITIZEN PICTURE I don't know what is!
