Glen Campbell turns 75 today.  He was born in Delight, Arkansas in 1936.  He has a neat web site you can CHECK OUT RIGHT HERE

"And, I believe I heard he's suffering from dementia.  I'll bet he can still remember the songs."

A BEAUTIFUL DAY IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD

FINALLY!  A half-way decent day!  A partly sunny sky and the wind no more than 8 MPH.  Temperatures, in the mid 50's, are a bit cool, for my taste, but we won't have the gale force winds, blowing right off an iceberg, we've had to contend with the past several days.

NEW LOOK

There's a slightly new look to the blog today.  I don't like it but what do I know.  Google has made some changes in the format and, I'm sure we'll all get used to it....eventually.

FROM DONNIE:
Love today's downtown photo.

ON WISCONSIN!

The year is 2016 and the U.S. has just elected the first woman president, who happens to be from Wisconsin.

A few days after the election, the president-elect, whose name is Susan, calls her Father, Ole, and says,'So, Dad, I assume you will be coming to my inauguration?'

'I don't tink so. It's an 18 hour drive.

" 'Don't worry about it Dad, I'll send Air Force One, and a limousine will pick you up at your door.'

'I don't know. Everybody will be so fancy. Vhat would your mother vear?'

Oh Dad ," replies Susan, 'I'll make sure she has a wonderful gown custom-made by the best designer in Washington.'

'Honey,' Ole complains, 'you know I can't eat dose rich foods you eat.' Do day serve tap beer?

The President-to-be responds, 'Don't worry Dad. The entire affair will be handled by the best caterer in Washington; I'll ensure your meals are salt free.

You and mom just have to be there.' So Ole reluctantly agrees and on January 20, 2017, Susan is being sworn in as President of the United States. In the front row sits the new president's Dad and Mom.

Dad noticing the senator sitting next to him leans over and whispers, 'You see dat woman over dare wit her hand on da Bible, becoming President of da United States?'

The Senator whispers back, 'You bet I do.'

' Ole says proudly, "Her brother played football for da Green Bay Packers."

DONNIE IN RUINS

THOUGHTS OF A WEST SALEM NATIVE

"My glimpse of Congress was disturbing.

I had not been in the lower House for a long time, and only once of recent years in the Senate, and the action of both Houses was so desultory, so lacking in dignity, that it would have been ludicrous, had it not been for a consideration of the matters of world-wide importance awaiting their decision.

They were discussing "pork barrels," busied with getting something for their selfish little constituencies. America in the mass, humanity in the mass, is impressive, but our senators, when seen individually, like Europe's kings, lose their bulk."

--Hamlin Garland, 1915

RITA WANTS TO KNOW.....

"I have two uncles, a mom and a mom's best friend/cousin, Melvina, in this picture.  Must be 8th grade graduation?  Can you find them all?"

TOO MUCH INFORMATION

There's a new Simon Cowell biography, on the bookshelves, that says, among other equally silly things, that he insists on black toilet paper in his home.  I know I don't need to know that but I'm wondering if anyone else does.

I'm the only person, on the planet, that has never seen the show that made him famous (I can't even think of the name of it) so I know who he is but that's about it.  After reading the book review, I'm thinking what I already know is more than enough.

DOINGS IN TEXAS

DONNIE:  "Last night temps dropped to low 50s, and this sunny morning has the smell and feel of autumn! Strange. Last year by this time we had had no rain at all and were already getting days in the 90s.

Big doings in Drippin' this weekend, the annual Founders Day Festival. I'll be hanging out at our one coffee shop and one bar, both searching for and contributing to local color."

BUY IT TODAY~IT'S AN ANTIQUE TOMORROW

DONNIE:  "Saw an item that says, not only TV, but even the Internet is fast fading as a "platform" as younger people do everything on hand-helds, cell phones and iPad type devices.  The article said desktops and even laptops will be as antique as typewriters, the original walkie-talkie size cell phones or pay phones (what are they?)

How true that is.  I watch Seinfeld re-runs every afternoon on the WB and they are constantly using those big old cordless phones with the antenna sticking out the top.  I remember, they looked like a "Star Wars" device when they first came out.  Now, they look as old fashioned and silly as the old wringer wash machine that mother used to use.

The old phrase "times change" used to mean things changed by the year or decade.  Now, it seems, times change by the month.

THE TRAVEL AGENT MIGHT STILL BE THE WAY TO GO

I enjoyed this article from the New York Times this morning (CLICK HERE) about the return of the travel agent.

We used to roll our eyes (when I was in the biz) when a customer would think they deserved specal treatment because they were a "frequent flyer".  When asked how often they flew the answer would often be "3 or 4 times a year".

3 or 4 trips a year might seem like a lot to the average person but the airline sees thousands of people, every week,  who are in the air, at least, once a week.  I had many customers, at the club, who would make three or flights a day to make contacts with all of their customers.

Those folks are REAL "frequent flyers" and they know the airline and hotel business as well and, many times, better than the airline and hotel employees do.  They know all the tricks of the trade and know how and when to book their flights and hotel rooms.  The internet is a great way for those folks to book their trips.  For the rest of us, however, "not so much".

A lot of folks are discovering that the Travel Agent isn't a luxury but a necessity if they want to have the best possible trip at the best possible price.  This is true, today, more than ever before, with the high cost of travel and the full loads on all the planes.

DONNIE COMMENTS:
I had earlier heard of the return of the travel agent, so I tested it myself. In January I contacted an Austin agent and asked for her best deals on a trip to Uruguay. Within a day, she got back to me by eMail, saying she thought current prices too high, and she'd have to do more research. Never heard from her again. And of course we have not been to Uruguay.

$$$$ MADNESS

HOW THE OTHER HALF LIVES
Think your gas prices are too high?  You could always move to Manhattan.  Almost nobody, who lives there, owns a car.  Of course, rent is a touch higher than it is around here.  In fact, the AVERAGE RENT IN MANHATTAN IS $3,418.00 A MONTH.  You might have already guessed that buying a home on that glittering island is simply out of the question.

SWEETER THAN HONEY

I had a big slice of  Pepperidge Farms Key Lime layer cake for breakfast and, after I get dressed, I'll run to Kwik Trip and get some Glazer doughnuts.  That's what gives me my sweet disposition.

Along those lines, did you know that 55% of the way you communicate with people is done with BODY LANGUAGE?  I saw an interesting article about that on Yahoo! just now.  READ IT HERE

PARKER STILL MAKES PENS BUT NOT IN JANESVILLE

George S. Parker founded Parker Pen Company in 1888 in Janesville and resigned as president of the company, on this date, in 1933 to become Chairman of the Board.  His son, Kenneth Parker became the new president.

The Parkers are long gone but the pens remain.  The company is now owned by Newell Rubbermaid, located in New Haven, East Sussex, England.

YOU DON'T KNOW HOT UNLESS YOU'VE SPENT A SUMMER IN TEXAS

The Travel Channels JOHNNY JET just sent a tweet from HOUSTON.  A reminder to himself not to travel through Texas during the hot months.

BIG EXCITEMENT IN AUSTIN TODAY

An 8 foot statue of WILLIE NELSON will be unveiled today in downtown Austin.  Willie plans to be there.

DONNIE: "Just what your blog needs.  Willie pictures."

FLAUNTING FLYERS

Now, I see, a woman has stripped, naked, at the Denver Airport.  Is this gonna start a whole new fad?

WATCH THE BIRDIE

Sounds like it was an "exciting" take off for Delta Flight 1063 from New York to Los Angeles yesterday.  Another case of birds being sucked into the engine on take off.  They quickly landed, again, safely.  That's a fairly common occurance.  It's happened 2,586 times at JFK, alone, since 1990.

FAST FOOD

Another fun fact from the book I'm reading.  Guess what fast food chain is the most popular in China....BY FAR.  It's Kentucky Fried Chicken!  I'll bet the colonel is smiling.

RAIN

We had a Record rainfall in La Crosse, yesterday, with 1.60".  That beat the old record of 1.27" set in 1993.

TALK ABOUT A BUILDING BOOM!

I ran across an interesting fact while reading "Where China Meets India" by Thant Myint-u.  According to the author, In the 1990's the city of Shanghai had 3 buildings over 20 stories.  Today there are more than 2,000 buildings 20 stories or taller.  I'll bet there aren't any out of work construction workers in that town!

ANOTHER INTERESTING ARTICLE

100 million TV sets will be hooked to the internet rather than cable by 2016.  Will hackers then be able to "bug" your TV like they do your laptop?  You bet they will!!  CLICK HERE TO READ THE ARTICLE.

DOCTOR! DOCTOR!

Considering I have an appointment to see a specialist next week, I was drawn to this article from YAHOO! about how your primary care physician directs you to a specialist you may need to see.

Although, I have no concerns about any of the doctors I see, not everyone has the quality of service the folks at Gunderson Clinic provide.  In a lot of cases, at other facilities, this article points out it's more about $$$$ than health Care.

SOME FUN FACTS FOR GARLIC DAY
Did you know that 66% of all the garlic, in the world, is produced in China?  The U.S.A. produces 3%.

Garlic is mentioned in the Old Testament and is pictured in Egyptian tombs.

And, here's a fun fact I'll bet you didn't know.  The city of Chicago got its name from the wild garlic that grew around Lake Michigan.  The Indians called it "Chicagaoua".

I WISH I HAD THE GUTS.......

Hats off to the guy who stripped naked at a Portland International Airport security gate to protest the hassle of getting through.  We need more outrageous folks like that to match the circus clowns running for political office these days.

HEALTH

MENS HEALTH has an article on the 11 worst burgers in America.  They list the Burger King Whopper with Cheese as the worst classic fast-food burger.  760 calories with 1,410 mg of sodium.  That's more salt than I'm allowed all month!  The only thing I've seen that equals that amount of salt is Soy Sauce.

RIP

So sorry to hear of the death of DICK CLARK at the age of 82.  He was one of the great ones.

IT'S OUT!

Rita survived the tooth pulling.  She called, this afternoon, and sounded pretty chipper.  When she was here this morning she did the typical Solberg routine.  She was sure she would not survive the ordeal.

CITIZENSHIP

The tired and poor are going home.
Did you know that about 1800 people renounced their U.S. citizenship or turned in their green card last year?  That's nearly 8 times the number of citizens who renounced in 2008.

AUNT WILDA CALLED THIS MORNING

She's planning another trip to Bob and Lynne's for Mothers Day and her birthday.

She said Anne and Morgan called.  They're going to sell the boat.  Getting too old to take care of it anymore.  Their sailing days are over.

Trig called her too.  They're returning to Wisconsin, from Arizona, this week.

IN A FOG

DONNIE:  "Up by 7:00 A.M., today, to enjoy a fog--"as thick as sea poop", as the old radio blooper had it."

COLD

I made a Glazer run to Kwik Trip, this morning, and, even with freezing temperatures, there's a clear sky and NO WIND so it was a delightful "wake up walk".

WEATHER

Logo Design by FlamingText.com
Logo Design by FlamingText.com
The temperature was right at 32 with a wind chill of 27 when I got up this morning.

Walking, into the wind yesterday, I was thinking it was colder than it was, some days, in January.

At least, we'll see the sun today...but only for one day.  It's back to clouds with showers and thunderstorms tonight through thursday night.

I don't know how much more of this I can stand.  I'm just hoping it warms up by the time my birthday rolls around.

FOX

LYNNE: "Our fox came out of the woods for a visit again.  This has to be, at least, five or six different days we've seen him over the past few weeks.  He must have been thirsty as he stayed at the bird bath for a long time."

BLAH!

WHAT'S BLAH, BLAH, BLAH DAY?  It's the day to do all those annoying chores you've been putting off or people have been asking you to do.

My list is so long I don't know where to start.

SNOW???

It just goes from bad to worse.  They're forecasting some patchy frost tonight and Thursday night, they say, we could get some SNOW!!!

What happened to spring??  This is really getting ridiculous.  When we had such beatufiul weather in March I was hoping for a long summer.  Now, I'm beginning to wonder if we'll have a summer at all!

HUNGRY?

WILDLIFE

You don't have to live in the country to see the wildlife.  You can see it in the city too.

WILLARD: "I was having coffee and glanced out the window to see a young possum running across the patio.  Buddy was at the screen door.  He saw it too and wanted to give chase.  I don't think so!"

REMEMBERING AUNT EDNA

RITA:  "Today would have been my mothers 100th birthday."

HEALTH WARNING

I thought about buying a bag of Dole salad, the other day, but decided to go with a head of lettuce and make my own instead.  Glad I did.  756 cases of their salad have been recalled because of possible salmonella contamination.  Some of those bags were distributed in Wisconsin.

BEV

A LITTLE CATHOLIC HUMOR

After getting all of Pope Benedict's luggage loaded into the limo, (and he doesn't travel light), the driver notices the Pope is still standing on the curb.
'Excuse me, Your Holiness,' says the driver, 'Would you please take your seat so we can leave?'
'Well, to tell you the truth,' says the Pope, 'they never let me drive at the Vatican when I was a cardinal, and I'd really like to drive today.'
'I'm sorry, Your Holiness, but I cannot let you do that. I'd lose my job! What if something should happen' protests the driver, wishing he'd never gone to work that morning.
'Who's going to tell' says the Pope with a smile.
Reluctantly, the driver gets in the back as the Pope climbs in behind the wheel. The driver quickly regrets his decision when, after exiting the airport, the Pontiff floors it, accelerating the limo to 205 kms. (Remember, the Pope is German.)
'Please slow down, Your Holiness' pleads the worried driver, but the Pope keeps the pedal to the metal until they hear sirens.
'Oh, dear God, I'm going to lose my license -- and my job!' moans the driver.
The Pope pulls over and rolls down the window as the cop approaches, but the cop takes one look at him, goes back to his motorcycle, and gets on the radio.
'I need to talk to the Chief,' he says to the dispatcher.
The Chief gets on the radio and the cop tells him that he's stopped a limo going 205 kph.
'So bust him,' says the Chief.

'I don't think we want to do that, he's really important,' said the cop.
The Chief exclaimed, 'All the more reason!'
'No, I mean really important,' said the cop with a bit of persistence..
The Chief then asked, 'Who do you have there, the mayor?'
Cop: 'Bigger.'
Chief: ' A senator?'
Cop: 'Bigger.'
Chief: 'The Prime Minister?'
Cop: 'Bigger.'
'Well,' said the Chief, 'who is it?'
Cop: 'I think it's God!'
The Chief is even more puzzled and curious, 'What makes you think it's God?'
Cop: 'His chauffeur is the Pope!'

A GOOD SOAKER

We got about an inch of rain overnight.  We needed it.  Now, if we can just get some warm weather.  We'll get into the 70's this afternoon...tomorrows highs will be back into the 40's.  This see-saw weather stinks.

GOOD LIVING

Cousin Mary and Brother Don are in the right spots right now.

FORBES says the best place in the country to buy a home, these days, is Tucson, Arizona with Austin, Texas a close second.  Unemployment is low and housing prices are good.

RAPID CITY IS WET TOO

DUANE:  "Raining here.  An all night soaker.  A little leaking by the upstairs fireplace and a new leak in the upstairs bathroom".

A SPECIAL DAY FOR BIRTHDAYS

Grandma Solberg was born on April 15, 1887~125 years ago today.

ANOTHER BIRTHDAY TODAY

Penny celebrates her birthday with Heloise, the lady with all the "hints", today.

Heloise is younger than I thought she would be.  She's only 61.  That's a lot younger than Penny and I are, but then, 80% of the people on the planet are younger than Penny and I are.

That's OK, Penny.  There aren't many people, our age, that look as good as we do.

By the way, bug season is coming up and Heloise, of course, has a hint for that.

To keep the bugs off your perfect body, this summer, mix 2 drops of oil of peppermint or lavender with 2 teaspoons of almond oil and dab it on your skin.  You'll smell good to everybody but the bugs.

LIFE IN THE BIG CITY

WILLARD:  "Thought I heard two gunshots across the street this morning.  Buddy barked."

POTATO LICKER

The 110th Anniversary edition of POPULAR MECHANICS featured a list of their "BEST TIPS EVER".

This one caught my eye.  If you have a lot of cards or mail to send out, like Christmas time, and you don't want the taste of that awful glue in your mouth...let a potato lick the flaps.

There's just enough moisture in a potato to moisten the glue for "perfect sticking".  You might like to try it while you're getting my birthday cards ready.

YOU LEARN SOMETHING NEW EVERY DAY

Early this morning, someone from BURKINA FASO visited this blog.  "Burkina Faso", I said, "Where on earth is Burkina Faso?"  I thought I knew everything.  I was wrong.

I looked up Burkina Faso.  Clicked on THIS WEB SITE ABOUT BURKINA FASO and read all about it.

NOW, AT LAST, I KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT BURKINA FASO.

One of the things I found most interesting is that there are 144,000 main line telephones in Burkina Faso and 5.708 MILLION CELL PHONES.  This leads me to believe that a phone with a cord plugged into a wall is fast becoming extinct.  I wonder what Mr. Bell would think of that?

SILLY JOKE

INCOME TAX DAY
APRIL 17

You have two extra days to file your Federal income tax returns.  The 15th falls on a Sunday, this year, so that pushes the tax deadline back to the 16th but the 16th is Emancipation Day in Washington, D.C. which is considered a holiday.

So this year, you have until midnight Tuesday to file your return.

MORE SUMMER-LIKE WEATHER AHEAD

AT LAST: A NIGHT WITHOUT FREEZING TEMPERATURES
Temperatures were in the upper 40's when I got up this morning.  Warmer weather is on the way and, with it, the first storms of the season.

The weatherman says there's a good chance for thunderstorms beginning today and continuing through the weekend.

Some of the storms could produce damaging winds and large hail.  There's even a chance for an ISOLATED TORNADO.  Guess I'll curl up with a good book and "let the rain fall down".

HOLLYWOOD GETS A SECOND CHANCE

Great article and photos in the La Crosse Tribune, this morning, as new owner Phil Addis gets his first look inside the Hollywood Theater.  READ ARTICLE HERE  I love his answer to those folks who say "Tear it down".

WHAT WAS THE BLOB IN DONNIE AND LINDA'S GARDEN?

PAUL:  "I'm not sure what it is but it could be GOOGLE SLIME MOLD.  Although not incredably rare, you're, probably, lucky to be able to watch one so close.  Some even move.

DONNIE: "You nailed it.  That's what it is....or was.  I should have known to consult a woodsman."

2012 is not a good year for folks who fear Friday the 13th.  There are 3 this year.  The first was in January, the second is today and the next one will be in July.  And, here's something to make it even more scary.  Each of those days is exactly 13 weeks apart.

REMEMBER "THE BLOB"? COULD THIS BE IT?

Donnie and Linda's neighbors, Betty and Gene have a mystery in their garden.

"This alien creature appeared, overnight, in our new-soil plant circle.  Any idea what it is?"

ANOTHER COLD NIGHT

Our normal low for April 12 is 36 degrees and it was 37 at 2:00 A.M.  That's a lot warmer than some of the other towns in the area.  It was 23, at 2 A.M., in Black River Falls and 24 at Sparta.

Will it ever warm up?  Yes, Virginia, it will be close to 70 on Saturday with a 50% chance for rain.

CAN YOU EVER GET TOO MUCH PIZZA?

I'm, probably, the only person living in Wisconsin that was never a fan of pizza or brats before I had the kidney disease but now, of course, they're X-rated on my diet.  Still, I can't help but notice that there's a pizza place on just about every corner I turn.

Apparently, there's always room for one more and, I see, the latest to open later this month will be AL'S STATE ROAD PIZZERIA.  As you've probably already guessed, it's on State Road.

Of course, you've heard the one about the Norwegian who ordered a pizza and the waiter asked if he wanted it cut into six or twelve slices.  "Oh, cut it into six", he said, "I could never eat twelve slices."

YUK! YUK!

The all new THREE STOOGES opens in theaters tomorrow.  I know we have some "Stooges" fans in the family so maybe we'll get a review.

In La Crosse it's playing at Marcus Cinema and at the Vernon Square Cinema in Viroqua.

NOTE:  You may want to think twice before you take your kids to see it.  The new Stooges are a bit more risque than the originals.

Comment:
Some things just can't be duplicated (or in this case, triplicated), and The Three Stooges is three of them. The originals are still (and probably forever) popular reruns, and they didn't need "risque" to be funny.

FILL 'ER UP WITH......NATURAL GAS!

I wondered what all the construction was about in the parking lot at the Kwik Trip on Cass St.  I saw the answer in the La Crosse Tribune today.  Their new ALTERNATIVE FUEL pumps will offer natural gas in a number of different forms.

THE COMPUTER SAGA CONTINUES

I suspected it from the beginning and now it's looking, more and more, like I picked up a computer virus.  Nasty business!

Rita and Roger took their computer to a place in Holmen that did a great job fixing theirs up so we'll take this computer there too.  I'm lost without my videos!

NOTHING TO SNEEZE AT

Donnie found a list of the 10 worst cities to live in for spring allergies.  One of the cities, close to the top, is McAllen, Texas.  I never had any problem with allergies while I was living there but have had them, every spring, since I've been back in La Crosse.  Leave it to me to be out of step with the rest of the world.

ANOTHER "GOLDEN YEARS MOMENT"

Duane has been going nuts all day.  He lost his TV remote.  He looked everywhere he could think of.  It had, totally, vanished.

I just heard from him again.  "Found the remote in the garbage can outside. Senior moments are happening more often now."

SOME GOOD HEART INFO

BE PREPARED FOR A HEART ATTACK
Willard sent this:

Subject: Mayo Clinic on Aspirin - !!

Dr. Virend Somers, is a Cardiologist from the Mayo Clinic, who is lead author of the report in the July 29, 2008 issue of the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.

Most heart attacks occur in the day, generally between 6 A.M. and noon. Having one during the night, when the heart should be most at rest, means that something unusual happened. Somers and his colleagues have been working for a decade to show that sleep apnea is to blame.

If you take an aspirin or a baby aspirin once a day, take it at night. The reason: Aspirin has a 24-hour "half-life"; therefore, if most heart attacks happen in the wee hours of the morning, the Aspirin would be strongest in your system

Aspirin lasts a really long time in your medicine chest for years, when it gets old it smells like vinegar.

Something that we can do to help ourselves - nice to know. Bayer is making crystal aspirin to dissolve instantly on the tongue. They work much faster than the tablets.

There are other symptoms of a heart attack, besides the pain on the left arm. One must also be aware of an intense pain on the chin, as well as nausea and lots of sweating; however, these symptoms may also occur less frequently.

There may be NO pain in the chest during a heart attack.

The majority of people (about 60%) who had a heart attack during their sleep did not wake up. However, if it occurs, the chest pain may wake you.

If that happens, immediately dissolve two aspirins in your mouth and swallow them with a bit of water.

Afterwards:
Call 911.
Phone a neighbor or a family member who lives very close by. Say "heart attack - !!" Say that you have taken 2 Aspirins.  Take a seat on a chair or sofa > near the front door, and wait for their arrival.

DO NOT LIE DOWN - !!

Thunder will get gourmet human tuna today.  This is NATIONAL PET DAY.  I found something interesting on the National Pet Day website.  A list of the most popular names for your dog or cat.  I was surprised at the list.  CLICK HERE TO TAKE A LOOK

ANOTHER HARD FREEZE

Another bad night for the tender new plants.  The 3 A.M. temperature at Sparta and Black River Falls was 21 degrees.  It was 30 in La Crosse with a wind chill of 24.

Today's high is expected to be around 50.  That's warmer than it has been but still well below the normal of 58 for this time of year.

The only real good news is that it won't be so windy today.  That wind was miserably cold yesterday.

STILL NOT BACK TO 100%

I've cleaned up all the problems I can.  The rest will have to be fixed a real geek!   It has to do with security settings and Adobe Flash and Java and those exotic things that are beyond my expertise.

I think I can do most of the picture stuff and text but I can't get any videos in email or use them on the blog.  That's what I need to find a geek for.

Anybody know a good geek?

IF IT AIN'T ONE THING......

DONNIE REPORTS
"Someone drove through our neighborhood fence at midnight.  Claimed to have been dodging a deer (possible out here) but drinking is equally possible."

BAD NEWS FOR APPLE GROWERS AND GARDENERS

GREAT BRUNCH

We had Easter brunch at Cedar Creek and the food was great but the plates weren't big enough to hold it all so we had to go back for seconds.  I'm thinking, however, that I might have overdone it.  My tummy is stretched to the limit and my eyelids are getting heavy.  I may have to go to bed even earlier than usual!

I THINK WE'RE BACK!

Poor Nick slaved over this computer to get it running again.  When I screw something up, I like to screw it up as much as possible.  Small screw ups are such a waste of time.

Eric tried it out and gave his seal of approval.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed that all is working again.  I'm sure it is now but it remains to be seen if I will be able to keep it working.

In the meantime,

SNOW TIME FOR EASTER

How many times have we had snow on Easter?

Out of 119 Easter's, we've had snow on 23 of them.  The snowiest Easter was in 1929 when we got 8.3 inches of snow.  I'll bet the kids didn't find may Easter eggs that year!
