HAPPY CARROT CAKE DAY! Carrot cake has been around since Medieval times when sugar was very expensive and scarce. Since THE CARROT HAS MORE SUGAR THAN ANY OTHER VEGETABLE they came up with the carrot cake to satisfy their sweet tooth.

Having spent more time around booze than cakes, I should mention that there's also a shooter called a CARROT CAKE COCKTAIL. It's 1/3 Baileys Irish Cream, 1/3 Hot Damn Cinnamon Schnapps and 1/3 Frangelico and, yes, it tastes like carrot cake with a kick!!
