It was 109 years ago today, December 17, 1903, that Orville and Wilbur made their first successful man-powered airplane flight near Kitty Hawk.
109 years later, flying is about as glamorous and comfortable now as it was then and it was a hell of a lot cheaper. That's what they call "progress".
