I'm happy to see that "A quiet spot on the river" is the #1 favorite post of the past few weeks. I like that picture too, even though it's a bit deceiving.
One would think it was on one of the little islands in the river or tucked away in a backwater location. Actually it's right at the north end of Riverside Park in downtown La Crosse. Amazing what the perfect lighting and a little cropping can do.
