sHe was in the basement, all morning, building a big birdcage. They've been up in the front porch but the dogs can't leave them alone so it's time to move them to a safer location.
Of course, he picked a good hot day to do this and he says the A/C in the basement is on its last legs. I can relate to the "last legs" part.

I was reading, today, that this past June was the hottest June ever recorded in Galveston and Houston. And Austin went 10 days in a row with temperatures at 100 or more. The longest June stretch of 100+ ever.
