DRYIN' UP AND TURNIN' BLOOD RED

That's what's happening to a lake in San Angelo State Park in West Texas.  Some folks thought it was a sign that the end of the world was upon us.  No need to worry about that but the fact that the lake is almost dried up, because of the drought, is cause for concern.  The little water that is left has turned blood red because of the Chromatiaceae ( dare you to say that real fast after a beer or two) bacteria that has infested the lake and thrives on oxygen deprived water.
