Today is the highlight of the spring social season. It's the day Uncle Bob gets his taxes done and then he, Rita, Roger and I go to lunch. We've been doing this for years.
You may have watched "Miami Social Season" on Bravo. Well, that show is based on this lunch we're having today.

Lunch Day for me, too. I'll be eating with an old Austin friend at El Patio, a Mexican restaurant operated 50 years by a Lebanese family...and it has no patio. Instead of chips, they serve saltines with salsa. Most guidebooks insist the food is terrible--and the place is always packed full. Keeping Austin Weird!
