ON THE ROAD AGAIN

DONNIE AND LINDA were entertaining company from North Carolina this week.  Donnie said, "Wednesday we were on the road 13 hours.  A 440 mile trip around central Texas.  We went to Brakettville to visit Alamo Village, built in 1958-60 as the 'worlds largest outdoor set' for John Waynes epic film.  When we got there we discovered the tourist attraction closed in 2010.  We also went to Utopia to play golf.  Utopia and the golf course are the setting for another film, a recent one, starring Robert Duval."
