THURSDAY JANUARY 30,2010: MORE SNOW

This is neat

What does a baby polar bear think of snow when he sees it for the first time.  Doesn't look, to me, that he likes it any better than I do.

Must be a day for doctoring.  Rita has to see the eye doctor this morning and Donnie has a dental checkup.

He said, "Routine dentist this morning, though no exam, of any sort, is routine anymore.  They always find something wrong that needs more work.".

Not a good day to drive across South Dakota

Looks nasty in Bob and Lynne's part of the world too!

Such a deal!

Snow update from the National Weather Service:

BANDS OF SNOW WILL BRING BRIEF ROUNDS OF HEAVY SNOW TO THE AREA
THIS MORNING BEFORE QUICKLY EXITING THIS AFTERNOON. SNOWFALL
AMOUNTS WILL RANGE FROM 3 TO 6 INCHES NORTH OF INTERSTATE 90...
WITH A GENERAL 1 TO 3 INCHES ELSEWHERE. WINDS WILL SHIFT TO THE
NORTHWEST THIS AFTERNOON CAUSING MORE DRIFTING.

TEMPERATURES WILL DROP OFF INTO THE TEENS TO SINGLE DIGITS BELOW
ZERO TONIGHT. ADD IN THE WINDS AND WIND CHILLS FROM 20 TO
30 BELOW ARE EXPECTED.

Shaking up Billy and Bonnie this morning:

This is St. Paul already this morning:

If you're flying on Super Bowl Sunday Jet Blue and Southwest will have the game on in the cabin!

The Budweiser Super Bowl spot is the absolute greatest spot I've seen.  I may have to pop open a can again.  Been a long time since I've done that!

My heart melts:

Forecasters say no early spring around here.  Snow and cold into March.

Mark Twain said it:  "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whiskey is barely enough."

January 30, 1969 was a big day in Beatles history.  They played their very last time, together, on the rooftop of Apple Records.

By the way, Ringo and Paul will be interviewed by David Letterman on the CBS special, "The Night They Changed America" which will air on February 9.

I've never seen these stainless tiles before but I like them.
