JACK PAAR HOSTED THE "TONIGHT" SHOW FOR THE LAST TIME ON MARCH 29, 1962

I remember that night.  I don't care what they say.  I liked Johnny but Jack Paar was the best host the Tonight show ever had.  I'm glad he and Jack and Steve Allen aren't still alive to see the mess the show has become now.

Of course in those days, the TODAY SHOW was the only TV to watch in the morning.  And, that show has become more than a mess.  It's a disaster.

Back to the good old days, here's a clip from the Tonight Show with Jack Paar and one of the worlds funniest comics, Jonathan Winters, one of Jack's frequent guests.

In the early years guests were booked on those shows because they had talent.  Now, the only people who get booked are people who are selling something.  A book, a movie, a record album a new toilet bowl cleaner.  It doesn't matter.  It's all about the money.
