On the Today Show, this morning, Matt asked Senator Durban, "Don't the American people deserve better than this?"
Let ME answer that. Like the old saying goes, the nasty thing about a democracy is that the people get exactly what they deserve. And, I have no doubt that the next time an election rolls around, you will go to the polls and re-elect the very same scum bags to go back to congress and screw you, again, for another term.
As long as folks are allowed to make politics a LIFETIME profession, remember, this is how they make their living. And, just like anyone else, they're working FIRST AND FOREMOST for THEMSELVES. Any politician who tells you they're going to Washington to work for
YOU is a liar. And, I don't care which party he belongs to. The parties are set up to USE you and WORK for the politicians. I wonder if the American people will ever grow up.
