WHAT'S IN A HANDSHAKE?

According to Wikipedia, the handshake goes back, at least, to the 5th century in ancient Greece.

The Guinness Book of Records lists Joseph Lazarow (who was mayor of Atlantic City at the time) as the record holder for shaking the most hands in a single day.  In July in 1977 he shook 11,000 hands.  Before that the record was held by President Theodore Roosevelt who shook 8,513 hands on New Years Day, 1907, at a White House reception.
