THIS TAKES ME BACK TO THE '70'S
I ran across this song by accident and it took me back to my Sioux Falls days. I loved this video so much I had to share it.
Of a the many bars I've been in over the years (and there have been many, many, many) I'm sorry I missed this one. It looks like my kind of place where you could have a seriously fun afternoon!

I KNEW I SHOULD HAVE STAYED IN SOUTH DAKOTA!
What's going on here? Rapid City will have highs near 50 both today and tomorrow.
MEN IN HIGH HEELS
Here's a totally new one on me. Did you know that, at one time, it was the MEN who wore high heel shoes! And, do you know why? It all started with HORSES!!!
This is a really fascinating article from the BBC NEWS MAGAZINE

A "BUNDLE UP" WEEKEND
Guess I'd better get out and do what I have to do today because tomorrow is going to be another "stay in day".
It's not going to be all that nice today with wind chills as low as 7 below but tomorrow is going to be a winter nightmare.
They're forecasting snow, sleet and freezing rain for Sunday and Sunday night.
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ADVISORY
A WINTRY MIX OF PRECIPITATION LOOKS TO OVERSPREAD THE AREA SUNDAY MORNING.BECOME MODERATE TO HEAVY SUN AFTERNOON AND THEN TAPER OFF SUN EVENING.
INITIALLY THE PRECIPITATION WILL MAINLY BE A MIX OF SLEET AND SNOW OR ALL SNOW. AS WARMER AIR PUSHES IN, ESPECIALLY SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 90, THE PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED TO MIX WITH OR CHANGE TO ALL SLEET THEN FREEZING RAIN.
NORTH OF INTERSTATE 90 THE AIRMASS LOOKS TO REMAIN COLD ENOUGH FOR SNOW OR THE SLEET AND SNOW MIX TO CONTINUE THROUGH SUN AFTERNOON.
BY LATER SUN EVENING.THE PRECIPITATION SHOULD END AS A PERIOD OF FREEZING RAIN OR FREEZING DRIZZLE ACROSS THE ENTIRE AREA.
SIX OR MORE INCHES OF SNOW ARE POSSIBLE NO. OF INTERSTATE 90. A COMBINATION OF UP TO 3 INCHES OF SNOW.A HALF INCH OF SLEET OR A QUARTER INCH OF FREEZING RAIN ARE POSSIBLE ALONG AND SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 90.
IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT EXACTLY WHAT TYPE OF PRECIPITATION FALLS AT ANY ONE LOCATION AND FOR HOW LONG IS FAR FROM CERTAIN AT THIS POINT. SMALL CHANGES IN THE STORM TRACK OR STRENGTH WILL HAVE BIG IMPACTS ON PRECIPITATION TYPES AND AMOUNTS WITH THIS WINTER STORM.

JUST LIKE ALL THE REST
I just read that SUBWAY says it's "sorry" it came up an inch short on their "foot longs". C'mon Subway. You're just doing what all the other big guys are doing. Making the product smaller and the price higher. That's the American Way.
MY FAVORITE QUOTE OF THE DAY

BAD SLEEPING HABITS
I didn't get to bed until 11 and I still woke up at 3:00 A.M. I've been getting up at 3:00 A. M. since I was 19 years old. I guess it's to late to change my ways.
