WHERE DID THE WEBCAM COME FROM

Nowadays there's a city cam, weather cam, airport cam or just about any other "cam" you can point a camera at but where did it all start?  Where was the first web cam set up and what was it looking at?  Would you believe me if I told you it was a coffee pot?  This is a great story.  SEE IT HERE FROM THE BBC
