The 110th Anniversary edition of POPULAR MECHANICS featured a list of their "BEST TIPS EVER".
This one caught my eye. If you have a lot of cards or mail to send out, like Christmas time, and you don't want the taste of that awful glue in your mouth...let a potato lick the flaps.
There's just enough moisture in a potato to moisten the glue for "perfect sticking". You might like to try it while you're getting my birthday cards ready.
