This article in TIME MAGAZINE about using name and password to log on to certain sites caught my eye.  With what little memory I have, I can barely remember my own name and you'd have to be crazy to think I'd remember a password.  It's one of my great frustrations with the Internet.

Now, the TIME article says the system doesn't work very well, anyway, since hackers don't have much of a problem stealing your name and passwords.  They're working on some new ways of confirming your identity that sound interesting.
